Apply at No Cost

No application or membership fee. As a not-for-profit organization we do not have shareholders. All revenues collected go to our members as royalties (less administration cost and reserves).

Ensuring Compliance of ‘Music Users’

We mean business when we do music business. We carry out licensing activitie on a daily basis to ensure music users are compliant and pay to use our members’ music. We license restaurants, bars, nightclubs, hotels, banks, stores, parties, dances, radio broadcasters, webcasters and even cable operators. By joining JAMMS you become a member of an effective rights administration company…working on your behalf.

Regular Royalty Payments

We provide royalty payments along with royalty statements twice per year, from income earned in Jamaica. However, payout of royalties from overseas territories will vary from once per year to several times per year, in line with when such payouts reach JAMMS.

We Monitor Music Around the Clock

We are able to monitor the local airplay of our members’ music around the clock every single day. We use one of the best monitoring technologies in the business. No holidays off, no weekends off, our system works 365 days of each year to ensure when your music is played we know and are able to pay you as accurately as possible when we distribute royalties.

Radio Airplay Royalties

There are over 25 radio stations in Jamaica and virtually all are licensed by JAMMS, including all the big stations. In other words, once your music is getting at least some steady airplay whether on a large or small radio station, you can expect to receive royalties from JAMMS.

Foreign Royalties

We have partnerships established with some of the major international Producers’ Societies in countries such as USA, UK, France, Germany and Barbados. Our partnerships, otherwise known as bilateral agreements, allow our members to earn foreign royalties. The first royalty cheque for many Jamaican Producers is sometimes from JAMMS resulting from our overseas collections, on their behalf.

Building a Global Footprint

We are expanding our reach into new overseas markets, to provide more opportunities for our members to earn more. This means we will be seeking out reciprocal arrangements with countries in Latin America and Africa to complement arrangements we already have with countries in Europe, America and the Caribbean.

Effective Management

Each year we grow the total pool of income earned for members. This comes from our hard work in getting more music users licensed. And each year we pay out more royalties to members.

We are interested in your well being, not just giving you royalties! Members can now benefit from affordable Life Insurance through JAMMS. Ask how you can enroll – call 876-564-9400.
