Our task, and our mandate, is to function as a Performance Rights Organization and as a Copyright Licensing Body, thereby providing legal access to recorded music owned by our members and in turn deliver royalties to them for the use of their works

Our Authority

Our Role as a CMO and Licensing body
Our authority to function as a music rights management, entity and thereby provide legal access to millions of recorded music to music users, comes from direct agreements signed with local and international Record Producers/Record Labels, spanning thousands of global independent producers as well as the major international recording companies.

Our authority is further cemented by way of our establishment as a national Copyright Licensing Body under the Copyright Act of Jamaica.
The Copyright and Related Rights Laws that exist in many jurisdictions, grant Record Producers the exclusive rights to broadcast their recordings and play them to the public (public performance). These rights are also embodied in the Copyright Act of Jamaica (1993) and JAMMS is established to administer such rights.

IN-OFFICE SERVICES

As we grow, more and more of our services will be available without the need for you to visit our office physically. Already, for all customers needing a license or Permit, your transactions can be processed without any need for an office visit.

For Producers and Performers who are seeking to become a member, you will now be able to go through most of the crucial steps here on the website. While, for existing members, the Member Login Section will soon be available to give you access to all the conveniences you need. That means song registration and royalty payments history will be available through this website.

Despite, these conveniences we have built a business-friendly office environment that provides a satisfying customer experience once you step through our doors. That continues, and so we still look forward to seeing you.
