Andrea Scarlett-Lozer

Andrea is a commercial attorney with a knack for handling large complex commercial transactions and an eye for details. Prior to joining Levy Cheeks in August, 2017, Andrea was a Partner at Myers, Fletcher & Gordon where she practiced for 13 years. In her commercial law practice, Andrea has particular expertise in: Project Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Renewable Energy and Commercial Leases.

Her repertoire of transactional experience also includes acting as counsel in the sale of a major local bank, the government’s divestiture of its sugar assets, and sale/acquisition of interests in major manufacturing and distribution companies.

Andrea has an established Intellectual Property law practice, having handled registration matters and contentious proceedings for a large portfolio of local and multi-national companies over the years.

Andrea also actively participates in charity, legal education and professional associations, including:

  • The Jamaica Bar Association and its Intellectual Property and Commercial Law Sub- Committees;
  • The International Trade Marks Association and its Anti-Counterfeiting Committee;
  • The Norman Manley Law School as Associate Tutor of Landlord & Tenant Law;
  • The Graduates Foundation (a charity providing educational opportunities and scholarships to inner-city students) as Co-Founder and Director. She is a published writer and frequent presenter on legal subjects. Andrea enjoys fitness-related activities.
